I consistently get that "garbage" on my screen after quite a few hard-resets... I haven't yet tried to send a disk back to the Centris, so I'll probably give that a shot before I hit the hay.
The config indeed automatically selects the IIgs Modem option.
This GS is a ROM01 with a fully populated 1Mb memory card, no other expansions. Although I have other drives, I've currently just hooked up one of the 5.25" drives to the GS to remove any possible errors from that.
I'm using a Mini-din 8 cable between the modem port on the GS and the modem port on the Centris. I have tried the printer port on the Centris but that doesn't even send the program at all (even when selected in MacADT), which is somewhat weird. I also do have another serial cable I can try between the two, and rule out that cause.
I'll do some further testing but any other advice you have with the information I provided would be appreciated =]
