MacJunky, if you are willing to go that far to put a non-standard battery in, you might consider a Lithium next time. Lithium would last you probably 6-7 years, even if the power cord was yanked that whole time from the wall!

What do you mean far? That was probably the least I could do as I did not have any more stock ones yet I did have lots of AAs around. I live outside a small town, I am not going to make a special trip in just to get a certain type of battery when another will work for what I need.
