yeah it did. i chose a mix between the two, so the frame is still bent to a smaller degree, yet the seam is mostly joined so the end result is a very strong frame with a minimal amount of bending.

Unfortunately, not only is the frame bent but the main chassis and plastic bits are bent slightly as well, meaning that closing it is nigh on impossible.

i'm going to open it back up again and spend some more time getting the fit and finish just perfect once i get through the other two laptops.
