How to connect keyboard to Mac Plus? Peripherals 6 posts Aug 1, 2007 — Aug 1, 2007
Hey there!

I just got a Mac Plus dropped off for free at my house, but it seems like I can't figure it out. I know where the mouse goes, that's a given... but what about the keyboard? The keyboard has a phone line looking plug, but I can't match it up with anything on the Mac Plus... am I that oblivious?

It is under the front...

Code:
             |
            |
            | <--Screen
          _|
         |
        { <--Phone Jack
         |
(Only use REAL mac phonecable!! I generic phone cable will kill the Plus)

You can make your own by taking a regular phone cord, removing one end and crimping on a new connector rotated 180 degrees.

Ah-ha! You guys are wonderful. I have no idea how I spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out, and missed out on that...

Now I just need to find a full bootable 800k floppy image of 6.0.8 ...

Alternatively, this may be a more painless way of getting one.

System 6.0.8 is available for 800kB and 1.4MB diskettes.

OK Cool, thanks. Although as dumb as this sounds, the keyboard already had the cable... I just needed to figure out where to plug it in on the computer itself... Whoops.
