Replica I
Does anybody here have a Replica I? If so, what do you think of it?
For those who don't know, the Replica I is a modern kit computer that replicates the Apple I, and includes Woz's original Monitor ROM.

I think a guy who lives somewhere around me makes them actually...
From what I hear it's a pretty good replica, though I've never used one.

I built one - I even wrote half of the ROM. (That's my brush with fame - sharing ROM space with the Woz in a Replica-1

AppleFritter has some discussion, but much less than at Vince's site.
And it's fantastic! Great fun to build, expand, program etc.

I have a Replica I. It is a pretty cool computer. It's very easy to understand, and if you can build it, you really can learn a lot about computers.

Did you build your Replica-1?
I think Vince is in Chardon or something like that. I know he's not far from here.
A registry of Replica-1 owners would be cool, so if you wanted to meet others who have them, you could.

Is he? I can only wish I had one, They're a bit out of my price range :/ I'd like to get one, but I don't know what I would do with one 
You could program it! That's what I do, and it's actually a lot of fun and very rewarding.
If I was going through Ohio, I'd be very keen to meet Vince. Unfortunately I'm probably just as likely to be passing through Kathmandu...

Bah, I doo ann my fun programming on my Apple II. It's fun and rewarding too
I'd get one if they weren't so expensive and if it wouldn't probably just sit around as a curiosity.
When me and my friend were bored in computer class this past year we'd play around with BASIC in an Apple // emulator.
Well, programming just about any computer can be rewarding, and, although certainly not always, is usually fun.Bah, I doo ann my fun programming on my Apple II. It's fun and rewarding too
In fact, if you put DOS and graphics aside, programming an Apple 1 is not so different from programming an Apple II. For BASIC, the limitations of the Apple 1 version may be somewhat bothersome, but for assembly, there's no real disadvantage.
