Yes the old Centris just died with chimes of death. It wasn't random it just quit working with any additional ram installed. It didn't make any difference what ram I had installed. I had a 8 mb, a 4mb and the 2 32 mb ram chips any 1 or 2 of them installed in the old board in either slot and I got the chimes of death. All of the RAM had been working fine in the Centris 610 before. I believe the video was also going out on the old motherboard it was starting to have horizontal lines accross the screen like the previous Centris 610 motherboard did before the video failed on it.
All the ram works fine in a 6200 75mhz ppc, and previously in the Centris 610. The old Centris board worked only with the on board 4mb of ram.

The new Quadra motherboard is working fine with the 2 32mb ram sticks that would give the chimes of death in the old Centris motherboard. And the video is looking perfect on the new board also.
My performa 637cd that I upgraded to a 6200 75mhz ppc with a motherboard exchange is working fine with the 4mb and 8 mb ram in it, I just liked the Centris 610 that is now a Quadra 610 better.
