LC II with Macos 7.5 strange shutdown?

LC II with Macos 7.5 strange shutdown? Networking 4 posts Aug 15, 2007 — Aug 18, 2007
I managed to get my LC II up and running with a non

apple SCSI disk and Mac OS 7.5. All works well,

except when I shutdown I get a message to insert

the 'Mac Volume' - which is the name of my HD.

Initially this didnt appear, but when I added MacTCP

and Fileshare it stopped working. I dont have an

ethernet card installed.

Any ideas on this?

Thanks

Ian.

I guess its not easy to fix then?

I'll try re-installing MacOS 7.5 and see where the

error occurs.

Cheers

Ian

Didn't notice this thread before. It sounds like the drive is unmounting before shutdown is actually completed. I don't entirely know why this should be but it sounds like something that could be caused by Filesharing. Beyond this though, I am at a loss! :(

Thanks for the help. Filesharing would make sense, as I installed

networking separately from the MacOS 7.5 disks and then got the

error message.
