oh Nice! my favorite laptop of all time was a 1GHz TiBook! if you ever need any help with the hardware of those things let me know, i've taken them apart so many times i could do it blind-folded.

and as for the disc, just be patient, if the drive doesn't recognize it the disc it should (if it isn't busted) eject it after a period of time. i would also take the bottom-cover off (6 or 7 torx screws on the bottom and then slide the cover off towards the front and then lift up) and make sure that the ribbon-cable is properly plugged in to the motherboard.
