Arturia Minimoog V
anyone ever get this working?
I thought that this one was on the downloads already...
Not good sound as all Arturias...
u mean it sounds emulated / fake?
I don't like the sound of Arturia, (CS 80, Moog) nor Virsyn (Tera, Cube). Fogged, no bright sound no good basses. I prefer the sound of NI Fm7, impOSCar, some reFX, or NI absynth.
This last one is in my opinion the best sounding of all VST instruments available for Mac Os 9, is a shame it have a ugly and alien interface, and the patches always try to sound too "acid" to my taste.
Just an opinion.
It's a bonnie idea, and strangely, a conspicuous omission from most Mac-centric forums despite that programs are the petrol to the hardware's engine.
I survived BASIC and C at TAFE several years ago, and when I find one in good condition and cheap enough on eBay, I hope to get a round tuit.

I'd like to second (er, third) that idea! I wish that 68kmla had supported this idea, because there are still things to be done for 68k machines (like a version of wannabe that would work with 68000 macs). I'm legally prohibited from coding (or should be), but I can be an enthusiastic spectator.
I also think that there is a lot of potential for 68k development still, which is one reason I would be in favor of leaving the dev forum 'round here open for developers on 68k.
My suggestion is also to think about and ask the MLAers if they want a dev forum, I think it deserves one. Nekochan.NET has one for the SGI developers, and SGI users are an even smaller group than 68k users, from what I've seen. (if every active MLAer is a 68k user, and every active nekochanner is an SGI user - at least.)

Unfortunately there's not much I can really do other than post in this thread saying things about how much I agree.
Just as a random question, would said forum possibly cover HyperCard? I know it's probably not considered legit programming, but it is an interesting dev environment, and it is potentially useful for interesting things.
/me ponders a hypercard animation - among other things, for the summer.

I suppose the specific field of hypercard animation doesn't exactly count, but I think it's awesome that hypertalk is included. Long long ago in a galaxy far far away, I actually had some interesting ideas for things to try, I may work on some of that over the summer.

I fully endorse this idea. A programming forum would be awesome. Being a code monkey myself, i'd love to see a forum for development of software for older hardware.
