The difference here, as I see it, is that Sony was a predominantly hardware-based company. They knew how to sell a device. Microsoft is mainly a software company, so I'm not to worried about them.
Regardless, even if Sony and Microsoft both go under, the only constant in this particular industry will always be Nintendo.
