I don't know anything about DSL modems as I have a cable internet connection, but I can heartily recommend the Linksys router/4 port switch. I'm the owner of two of them, and they work really well. I just bought the second one two days ago at Circuit City for $89 with a $30 rebate, so I feel that I got a great deal. I hope that helps you, even if its only half of the info you need.
