Since the networking forum is on holiday, I thought I'd post this here. Please bear with me...
iMac 350 running OS 9.2.2
earthlink dsl
Linksys wireless access point/router, model BEFW11S4 ver. 2
Although I know I have a good dsl connection, the iMac and access point cannot communicate. They are connected via ethernet cable to one of the ports. I spent 2 hours on the phone with a linksys rep to no avail. When I called earthlink for help they said they don't support any home networking!
What should the tcp/ip control panel look like?
Are there any iMac settings that would not allow it to connect with the access point/router?
Are there any browser security or connection settings that I need to check?
Can Oreos be eaten with the fingers or must the fingers be eaten separately?
The iMac appears to be configured fine for the direct dsl connection, but cannot connect or see the router.
Any help will be appreciated.
