Here's my story. I have an iMac DV 400 with a dead ethernet port. I bought an airport card and a Linksys Wireless Network Access Point - Version 2.2 (latest firmware) I have the latest Airport software but OS X and OS 9 refuse to see the WAP. The WAP is connected to a d-link router that assigns ip's automatically and I set the WAP accordingly. I also tried plugging the WAP directly into my cable modem. The airport card on the mac is set to dhcp as it should be. So far, the signal strength indicator on the mac has yet to show anything. The WAP is about 6" away so it should be in range
Is there some mysterious setting I'm missing? HELP?
TIA
