I have several iMacs (the most recent CRT models)set up to run on a network. All connect to the internet via the network so (I think I am right here) the internal modem is not in use.

What follows is most likely a stupid question.

Is there anyway to utilise the free modem and its port to connect to, say, an old non-USB printer, and if there is how do I go about doing so? I suppose I am harking back to the pre-iMAc days when there were two ports that could be used, but without an internal modem. The presence of a modem probably makes the iMac port defunct, doesn't it?

All Macs are running 9.2, have 192mb RAM and the usual basic programmes.

Thanks in advance
