ABS Rev B ... which one is that?
Hi,
I'm a little confused about the base station versions. I know the new one on apple.com is M8209LL/A, but Powermax has what they're advertising as "last year's model Rev. B" part #M7601LL/B for $199. It doesn't look like the original graphite base station though.
And will only the latest ABS with software 2.04 work with 10.2?
Could someone please straighten me out? Thanks!

the rev.B models are the white base stations. however, I believe there have been two revisions to the white base stations in one major respect: the encryption. the rev.B uses 64 bit (afaik), and the current white stations use 128 bit.
experts, correct me if I'm mistaken.
and as for it working with 10.2: I'm using a graphite base station without the latest updates, and it works perfectly with my tibook 667 (non-DVI model).

thanks Fulmer, just what I needed to know.
