iBook can't see ABS2 after update to jag
I have cable with one ip-address. The iBook and G4 are both set to dhcp, iBook has an airport card, the G4 is hardwired to the lan port of the ABS which acts like a router and dhcp-server.
It worked fine but after i updated the iBook to jag, it doesn't get an address, only the 169.x.x.x, when I start the airport admin utility, it can't find any ABS although the G4 can.
Another question, i heard about a new update, airport 2.0.6, where is it? Has it been pulled back? Will this update solve my problem?

try opening the network preferences and check, then uncheck the airport option.
or
setup airport again w/ the assistant.

I believe you do need to update your AirPort firmware. You can get the 2.0.6 updater at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120140

I have seen the update yesterday, i think the problem was that this updater is included in 10.2, my G4 still runs 10.1.5 and somehow everything got messed up.
From the iBook i got the error message "could not read configuration on base station" while attempting to connect with the "airport utility". Even after updating to 4.0.6 the base station said it was on 4.0.4, after some time i couldn't connect from the G4 either, so i took the power from the ABS.
Other thing: I have had some noise on my stereo since i set up airport, like scratches and hissing coming out of the speakers. But during the time the airport wasn't running these noises were gone...
The say airport is 20 times less performant than a mobile, but it is running 24 hours a day opposed to my mobile which i often shut down.
