Ok, we are almost ready to make the jump to 10.2 - and to get some wireless internet going.
But, before I go and spend my money on Airport stuff, I want to make sure everything will work.
So, what we will have is a 400mhz iMac DV and a 300 mhz iBook.
Both are gonna get 10.2, but the iBook is gonna be staying in my room with no phone line.
I want to make sure it is still possible to set up the iMac as the Software Base Station and share the internet connection with the iBook.
We have dial up and Earthlink will charge us if the 1 account is being used by more than 1 person at a time. I would think I would be ok since the iBook is just using the iMac connection - but I want to make sure on that too.
Or, do any of you know of any dial up ISP that lets people use the same account at the same time? Worth asking, eh?
So, before we take this leap to OS X and Airport, I would really like any suggestions or advice about it. And, if you could help me with my questions, that would be great.
Thanks.
