Encryption options are avaialbe in the web interface to the SMC product. I believe the model you have supports 128 bit encryption, as well as only allowing connection by a devices built-in MAC address, I don't remember if it supports un broadcast network names or not, but I think it did.

I upgraded to a differnet wireless router from SMC when my old one died from a close by lightning strike, luckily it was the only thing effected.

Anyway, there is enough security capabilties in the SMC products for most users. Check their web site and download manuals if youdon't have one, as well as check their product support and FAQs, plenty of good info there.
