I do not see why the web sharing will not outside of my LAN. By the way, one simple question that nobody has ever answered, when going to airport's IP address, which one do you use, the Interenet one, or the Base station IP, they are both different for me. |
Are you Ryan Woodward? If so your Warcraft 3 post over at the Apple message board was very helpful to me. Thank You.
I'm sorry that I can't help you more, I too am frustrated by the port mapping issues of the Airport. I would assume you would use the Airport IP that would be basiclly fowarding the Internet IP, right? God I hate that Apple has made this so difficult. I hear so many having such easy success with other brands of Routers.
One question: I've been trying to get Hornet Korea to work over at Game Ranger. I believe that I have port mapping set up properly for Korea but it's still not playing as it should over at Game Ranger. By porting Korea's port number I am only able to host a game and not join (they can see me but I can't see them). Doesn't make a lot of since to me. I stopped in at an Apple Store last night to ask about port mapping and if they could shed some light on the issue I'm having. However, I got the impression that I knew more about port mapping than the tech. Scary I know!
I've set up the Airport as follows: Network panel set to Airport - Manually - IP Address 10.0.1.201 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 Router 10.0.1.1 Proper DNS Server number for my ISP (I've also used the Airport Router address as the DNS # but it worked just the same) and Domain Name for my ISP.
Airport Admin Utility Port Mapping settings: Public Port 2481, Private IP Address 10.0.1.201, Pirvate Port 2481.
Is this the way you set up for Warcraft games?
