Yep, it's a DHCP server to both the Mac and the PC. I get IP addresses that look right too:

Mac 192.168.0.2 and
PC 192.168.0.3

Both the computers are using DHCP, so that bit appears to be fine.

With a bit of fiddling on the PC with static routes, I was able to ping the Mac. but not vice-versa.

I initially thought it might be that the router doesn't support what I'm trying to do. If this is the case, I had better return it pronto. But since the PC ping'd the Mac, I was thinking the router probably does let me connect everything on my side.
