I have an odd problem with my AirPort base station.
In Mac OS X 10.2, I am able to see and select my network from the AirPort menu. I enter my password, and everything works.
However, when I need to switch back into OS 9, I can see and select my AirPort network in the Control Strip menu, but I when I enter my password (I know it's correct, as it works in OS X), it says that the password is incorrect.
Furthermore, I can see my base station in the OS X AirPort Admin Utility. However, when the OS 9 AirPort Admin Utility scans for base stations, it turns up nothing. Entering the IP address manually doesn't work, either.
So, what I would like to know is:
a.) Is there some way I can solve this via my *computer* on OS 9? Is this an issue with the system software?
--or--
b.) How do I perform a hard reset. I looked at Apple's Support page (Article 106602), but couldn't really figure out what I was supposed to do once the middle light flashed every (1) second...
I have tried a soft reset. When I do that, I can select the network with no password, and everything works fine for about 5 minutes. Then, it drops the network, and I have the password issue again.
Any help with this is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
