Now, when you use the linksys router, you don't use internet connect in OS X. You connect to 192.168.1.1 and you enter in the username and password for PPPoE connection into the linksys configuration screen. Then, you connect via the wireless using DHCP (if you've told the linksys to use DHCP assigned addresses) - this means, that the router handles making the connection instead of the OS X computer, and then distributes that to you via airport.
