Greetings-
I have a Pbook Titanium and a G4 Tower, both with AirPort cards. The G4 Tower is on the Internet. I am wondering if I can log into the G4 from my Pbook via the AirPort cards and surf the web, using the G4's internet connection.

Is this at all possible?

yes. you want to make the G4 a 'software base station'. search Mac Help for more info.

what version of Mac OS are you running? OS 9.2 (and maybe 9.1. dunno) will do the software base station, and so will 10.2, but 10.0 or 10.1 won't (not without hacks, anyway).

I'm running 10.1.5 currently, however my new PBook came with the Jaguar disks (which I used to update the PBook this afternoon). Any issues with using the Jagaur discs to upgrade my Tower too? That way I can begin to use this "software base station".

BTW, the software base station allows not only to file share between computers, but use the another computer's internet connection, right?

no problems using jag's discs on your powermac. however, I should tell you that doing so is against Apple's license agreement. One Mac only. But hey--it's your life.

yes and yes: local network and 'net connection sharing.
