Actually, a properly installed AirPort card in a TiBook should get fairly good range, though not the same range as an iBook. There is NO antenna on that card, just a connector for the antennas built into the TiBook's case (on the base near the front of the keyboard, if I recall correctly). The problem the TiBook has, when compared to an iBook, is that titanium case-it distorts the antenna patterns and thus degrades operation. There are certain orientations between TiBook and base station that work better than others, and elevating your base station to above eye level can help too. You just need to experiment with which direction relative to your base station your TiBook seems to see the base station best.
