Thanks for all the replies.... the hardware ID # (MAC address thing was right). All we had to do to fix it was reset the cable modem. the airport works like a charm with the iMac now.


now, for part II.....


They also have a few PC's they want to be able to access the airport network. We have installed Linksys Wi-Fi cards on them and installed the drivers. Here's what happended. When we go to the network control panel in windows and select the wi-fi (airport) selection, Windows recognizes the airport (It shows the name of the base station automatically) and it shows that it is getting a strong signal, but the net connection still isnt working. Is this a config error on the PC's or on the Airport base? Any ideas on this one?
