Well when I was 99% done with the NeXT theme December 31st, I had a major catastrophe and lost all of my recent updates to the NeXT theme- I was pissed. So Jan 1st I spent 15 hours starting from scratch with a base Aqua theme file and opted to not use any of the old theme file, doing it all starting from zero again. It turned out to be worthwhile. Here is the result:

Admittedly, NeXT is NOT an exciting interface i nthe least but for those of use who have been around since it was the next hot thing, it is pretty exciting how much I got OSX to feel like NeXT with this new release. I had some foot soldiers working with me on this one, folks who still have and use their NeXT systems to send me screenies of whatever I needed to get this overhaul on the fast track to being as close as you can get to NeXT without being NeXT.

So for those of you who this GUI caters to, it will be available in a few days.

BTW, there will be two variations with the release, one with an all black titlebar to be totally true to NeXT, and one with a near black titlebar for those who would rather read titlebar text than sport the whole NeXT visual enchilada.
Nice work! Can't wait for the release.
Sorry to hear that you lost your work on the update, but now it's looking good Swiz!
Swiz,
That looks awesome. I pretty much like the black bar!!!
Thanks, thanks, thanks though I agree with you that the NeXT GUI is not an exciting interface I really like it a lot!
take care
Nacho
Thanks guys. I hoenstly didnt think anyone would be excited about it becasue it is a pretty drab interface.

Max, you would not believe how mad I was the moment I realized the stupidity of my error when I lost those files. I went insane for about 10 minutes. Actually, Im sure you could imagine it too, you know the work involved. I guess it was a blessing in disguise.

Yeah but in my haste i didnt realize what I had done until I attempted to get back to work on it about 5 minutes later.
It is now available. Please give it a shot, the included Aqua Restore should be run before and after to ensure a clean switch. As always.
Thanks
