Amemlie theme please

It would be nice to see a theme based on the visual qualities of the,IMO, best movie ever, Amelie.

It would be like having shiney green title bar (much like the thread most recently posted about aqua that is shiney, but no stripes), with skipping stones for the open, close, min widgets.

I am already in the process of making the icons.

If a creator needs a mockup, please email me

Yep, le fabuleux destin d'Am�lie Poulain is a great movie, the colors and color combinations are very nice, I would like to see a photoshop mock up, I don't think think a theme is the best idea ( green, red,...) but hey I'm not going to stop you ...

Yeah I don't know how great an OS X theme would look... I agree that a keynote theme or even a moving iDVD theme (quite a bit harder ) would be better.

hmmm... ok

saw it. thought it was ok. not great, but good (and I usually don't go in for french movies)....but I don't think it had a stong enough design or visual identity to create a theme around it. the theatrical poster was nice, mostly bright green with spots of bright red, and i don't think that would make a good theme either....

if someone wants to make a mockup it would be a lot easier to comment on this idea.

Hey GODucks, you living in the dorms at UO? I am an alumni and did the dorm thing for a couple years. They sucked hard core, and I'm wondering if they are any better now.

No...Just an art student. The dorms, I hear, are pretty good. Though, I don't like the sound of the points for food system they have.

All of the dorms have T3 access

Just for that reason, I wished I lived in a dorm :]

It seems the green I remember is a bit richer/darker than the green you show, which seems more aquafied/x-box/neon. No? Anyway, I think this theme has great potential, and is VERY refreshing as its not just recoloration, but I LOVE the stones along the title bar...

I really like the green look, it might look good in a deep blue too. But I really don't like the buttons!

I'd like to see a better preview though.

Yeah, the buttons are kinda the crudest part about my mockup. I think that they should be a little tighter, smaller, and maybe different colors, or even just stars or somthing.

If there are any other ideas about how other elements in the GUI should look, please let me know. I would like to start making other stuff too. But, I still havn't heard from a theme creator about constructing the theme. I would be totally willing to hand the PSD file over when we get the ideas solidified and mocked...

For any of you who do not know what this movie is about I suggest you go and rent it. Must be one of the best feel-good movies ever.

I know U guys don't like French people much these days (you americans) but this movie was number one for a while in France as no film has been before. I live in the US and went to see it and went again the next day and couldn't believe it. Really nice feel good movie. It's made by the same people who made Delicatessen, City of lost children and Alien 3.
It about this girl who wants to make people around her happy while not realising her own persuit of happiness. It's done in a really interesting way. Everything about this movie is different and makes U wish all movies were made with such thought and detail.

Just my two cents... I have the DVD which has lots of cool things in it. U can actually rent it at Blockbusters (not under foreign)

I actually thought the green moke up was pretty neat.. (Amelie or not)

This movie was also nominated for 5 Oscars.. yes 5 even though it was foreign.

Well, I am still here, and would love to have this theme...still. I agree that a dark blue would look nice also.

I would be willing to send the .psd file to whom ever would like to create this theme.
