Considering that the administration has almost completley ignored previous attacks on it's seemingly conflicting interests, corporate connections and allegations of cronyism, I have to think this is part of an attempt to distance the neocons from the War strategy and from the president.
OTOH, it could just be that he's got too many investment opportunities available to him in post-war Iraq and he'd rather just go for the big money in the private sector.
I'm sure he'll be lobbying for private interests soon enough (like he he's done all along anyway).
Yes, I'm biased. I think he's a dangerous Idealouge who plays chess with people's lives and thinks nothing of profiting from it.
