The problem you're facing is that there isn't any one authoritative leader of the anti-war movement whose missteps you can claim discredit the entire movement. Whereas it's easy for antiwar folks to find authorities who've irresponsibly exaggerated or lied. (E.g., VP Cheney said that the Iraqi regime would collapse like "a house of cards.")
