Further just because someone who dies is a woman that does not imply she is not a combatant. (Something many people have been asserting) Beyond the rather distasteful sexism inherent in such comments one need only point out that a significant portion of our own troops (including POWs) are women. Further there have been many reports of women acting as scouts and combatants. In some cases these women have reportedly even taken their children. Yes that is horrible. Terrible. Further you seem to suggest in your comments that a civilian death is somehow OK if it is a man but not if it is a woman. What a horrible thing to assert. Are you seriously saying that a male non-combatant is somehow less deserving of life than a woman? How horrible, not to mention sexist. |
Just wanted to point out that for example on German TV the journalist openly speak of dead women, children and babies and when i see for example CNN they talk all the time of "killed civilians" and the question i raise is: Why always using such a neutral expression like "civilians" and not just say what is really happening.
I just saw an interview with Dan Scemama a israelian journalist that tried to report independently from inside Iraq and was arrested and maltreated by american troops because they said he was a spy. LOL israelian a spy of the Iraqi government, well he said he saw american soldiers heavyly maltreated captured Iraqi soldiers and innocent people just like he was. He was beaten up and also his friend. I just wonder why nobody is showing this on american TV. If they did i apoligize but until now i didnt read or see any of that on american TV.
