I would say the US is separated into 3 general East/West categories and two major North South categories.
Generally speaking, Northwest and Northeast are MOST cootieful (and girls tend to be less than pretty...hey, I said "generally speaking). Southwest is MORE cootieful (as opposed to MOST cootieful) and girls tend to be "average" looking. Southeast (aka: "The South") tends to be neutral in cootieness but above average in "hotness." And finally, Southcentral is nearly lacking* in cootieness, and well above average in "hotness."
At least that's my assessment.
*The term "nearly lacking" is used in reference to Southcentral because Austin, TX and a few other bastions of cootieness are indeed located in the Southcentral zone.
I should also add that these data are specifically referring to cootieful/hot women and does not necessarily reflect that of men.
Edit: Later tonight, I'll add a geographically discriptive map of the continuum of hotness and cootieness.
