Do you feel "left" or "right" are meaningful designations or convenient opportunities for scapegoatism?
First and foremost, the very idea that what must obviously be a unique politico-social perspective from person to person can be expressed in one word is ridiculous. That is, do you "lefties" and "righties" really believe in your party lines? And if so, is it reflexive? Do you beleive the things you do because you are A leftist or rightist, or are you a leftist or a rightest because you believe the things you do?
We know, we know, George Bush is dumb. We know, we know, Bill Clinton was a liar. They are both terrible presidents and terrible people. In fact, i would argue that any president is, by definition, terrible.
What I would like is a definition of liberalism and conservativism from their respective members, out of curiousity.
