I know, man. The reason that I harp on it so much is to try to end up with some balance, and to err on the side of "look, an elephant" rather than casual banter. That's all. I try to take the extreme to make sure I cover the bases.
I know that the MacNN folks aren't the ones to worry about -- it's the Carville's and Begala's we've got to watch. They'll have us into another "it's the economy, stupid" before we know it.
