the last gulf war was saddam in hiding like this time? did he do any real definate tv appearances then? what about in the iran iraq war.

was he always doing like this time? i think we may have just got him if the news is right.

He did the same thing during the Gulf War. Not sure if he bothered during the Iran - Iraq War, because the Iranian air force is not quite as formidable as the USAF [/understatement].

Nah - he died in 1990 and the place has been run by doubles/ sons/ kin/ ministers of information ever since. Makes him real difficult to get this time.
