Are you suggesting that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the old and current US flags without stalking people? What?
First, the flag was pretty big. It must have been 8 feet long, stretched out across a the front porch of the house. But secondly, it is easy to tell a 48 star flag from a 50.
The 50 star flags have the stars laid out in an alternating pattern (below).
The old 48 star flag had them in columns and rows (below)
