I installed a Delphi SkyFi XM radio unit in my car last weekend. If you are skeptical about sattelite radio at all, I highly recommend checking it out a bit more. If you are thinking about getting it at all, just get it! You will love it.

I had to make a small bracket to mount the unti on my dash. I made the bracket at work and used velcro to attach the Delphi Skyfi unit to the bracket and the bracket to the dashboard. The Grand Am interior does not have very many places to mount the unit without losing something such as storage or one of the air vents. In the end I decided blocking the middle vent was the lesser of two evils as there are two more vents beside it. The ventilation system for this car is very powerfull and the vent really wasn't needed. The Skyfi's display color matches Pontiac's dashboard lights perfectly. I mounted the antenna on the trunk and it works great. On my 65 mile drive to work I don't have a single drop out. I only drive through one town with a repeater.
