Personally, I thought the prose was easy to ready, but the topic is just too far fetched. I also found it predictable and a bit convenient. some plot lines just sort of fell into place too easily. The characters were quite unbelievable.

It's kinda like a Stephen King novel, easy to read, but not a lot of substance. Or a Krispy Creme.

Now, Kenn Follett's "Pillars of the Earth" or Wilbur Smith's "Monsoon"... those books will change your life.
