I hate to bring this thread back to life, but I just wanted to let others see the xMac II design.

Cost Saving Measures:

- There is a USB and Firewire connection located in the same spring loaded drive door that opens for the combo drive.

This system uses the eMac motherboard (no need to spend R&D cash on this system).

- VGA only out (this may be tricky as Apple would want DVI so people could buy their flat screens).

- Although the front cover is a nice piece of "brushed aluminum" the back is an inexpensive plastic (think low end DVD players).

- The units are stackable.

- Speakers are not included with this unit (naturally you can upgrade to the $59 Apple Pro Speakers).

- These can hold two hard drives.
