This is rare but it happens i remember a pet kangaroo saved a family from burning to a crisp in their house at night by kicking and scratching around the house.

But in general for anyone who visits Austrlia and decides to go out into the bush kangaroos are mean and vicious things if not tammed. Same as any wild animal really but these are big, strong and fast and quite capable of killing a person (not that it happens on a regular basis in fact i can only remembering it happening once in the recent past)
