Good point. I hate the yankees because
1) their market is so huge that they can AFFORD to buy their championships year after year (the YES network, BTW, sucks. Who wants to watch reruns of yankees games?;
2) teams in smaller markets can't compete economically - maybe new yorkers can afford $75 a ticket but nobody else can;
3) fans in those markets lose interest;
4) television revenue goes down (and has been declining);
5) baseball hasn't seen fit to do anything about this.
------> baseball dies.
Oh well, there is always football, basketball, hockey, X-Games, video games, movies, competing for the entertainment dollar.
