iTunes installs with a default process priority of 'normal' and uses 90%+ of available CPU cycles. THAT is a problem.

I'll let iTunes run for a while and see what happens.

Note that I was playing a track when I checked Task Manager. Compare this to WinAmp, which uses approximately 1%-2% of CPU cycles for mp3 playback.
Just what are you doing?

This is iTunes on a Celeron 1.4 with XP, playing Weird Al. Memory usage ranges from ~ 1-9%.
