Me too, should be May 2005. Principle photography has been finished, so just the post-production to do, and maybe a few pick-ups.
Summer 2005. Man that is far far away
I had read that Spielberg had wanted to do a movie set in the SW universe but Lucas said no. I hope that once Ep III has come and gone he would let others such as Spielberg set a flick in that universe. I would to see a later story line (after VI) involving the rebirth of the jedi et all.

Speilburg wanted to direct Attack of the Clones, but Lucas wanted the prequel trilogy to be his baby (who can blame him?). A rumor floated around a couple weeks ago that Speilburg has expressed interest in making Episodes 7-9, which I think would be A Good Thing. Lucas has publicly stated that he only wants to make the first six, which is part of the reason why we have The Expanded Universe today.

That would be good news. As of now I have zero interest in seeing the 3rd film. It's a definite wait for cable timeline now.
Spielberg has his faults but imagination in the sci-fi world isn't one of them. I'd like to see him do at least one. George can write the outline and produce them. They've worked together in the Indy Jones series.
Has anyone been paying attention to Season 2 of Clone Wars? Tonight's episode was, for lack of a better word, badass.
I was going to get a couple screen grabs from tonight's ep, but nothing would do the entire 4.5 minutes justice. If you missed it and BitTorrent really existed, I would suggest grabbing it and watching.

I watched it three times. "Badass" isn't good enough for tonight's episode
.It makes you wonder how Windu's going to bite it in III if he's so friggin' good.

Lucus ruined the entire star wars franchise... First by bastardizing the 4-6, and then by making 1-3 nothing like the originals... I'm attempting to get the high quality ORIGINAL movies on DVD, and I'm saying @#$% LUCUS and his constant "I'm not going to give you what you want!" and "Hmmm, how ELSE can we suck them dry?"
