Most drives will *not* come with a cable if you're buying them online, the low priced drives are bare and don't come with anything but the drive. Most motherboards come with one IDE cable.

I buy most of my hardware from mwave.com, I haven't had a bad experience yet and i've bought at least 3 computers from them. newegg.com has good prices as well.



I hate to sound pessimistic, but if you've never built a PC before, it might be a better choice to buy a cheap dell and format the drive/install a clean copy of windows instead. You'll have a warranty and you won't have to deal with breaking the machine as you're putting it together. not that it's hard, some people need a little practice to get it right, especially the windows bit.
