If I insert a blank CD-R, Panther doesn't let me do anything with it. It won't even show up on my desktop. But I can burn from iTunes.
I tried doing a system restore, but to no avail. Is there some preferences I can change to fix this or something?

Open System Preferences, go to CDs & DVDs.

What does it say next to "When you insert a blank CD"?

Is this the same batch of blank cd's that you were able to use before? I've found brands of blank cd's that my iBook won't recognize.

It is the same batch of CD-Rs (imation music CD-R 80min/700MB).

When I go to the CDs & DVDs preference it says to ask when I insert a disk. Yet it does not ask.

I installed the 10.3.2 update and now all works fine. Thanks guys.
