Good gawd.... it's so frustrating around some of these ppl. i usually steer away from any techie question unless theyre truely interested in learning about Macs (as opposed to ppl who just like to diss macs).
And for petes sake.... here's the situation. i got to a friends house and was asked if id like to hook up my powerbookG4 to a projector for iTunes visualizations, and a couple of cool clips i got on here for the new years bash. i agreed... havent seen the projjector yet. i thought it was a cool idea...make the party more 'clubbish'.
Anywho so today a friend of the host comes over whoe work in IT support (a windows man by choice...aka retard
).
So i just keep my mouth shut cause this dude has 20+ years on me..so i show him the visualizations.... and i get questions like... are you sure ull be abe to connect it to the projector... now...neither one of us have seen the projector and he hasnt seen the powerbook.
The my friend (whos clueless in the ways of teh computer) asks me to show him the visualizations in iTunes... i did. Thenext 5 minutes we had to hear how great the visualizations in that 'other program' on WinXP was.
At the end of the 30 minutes of B.S... listening to them argue as to whether they can use a 'Serial port' (isnt that what they used for printers in olden times ?)or S-Video or a VGA cable to hook up their laptops to the projector or use component video....the pc guy had my friend convinced that he aught to bring his laptop over... just in case..... lol....
ive never felt above ppl in any way... but i do like the feeling of being an eagle and soaring over these dimwitts lol.
I wasnt gonna give assurance as to whether or not it was going to work...cause for all i know the projector could be ancient.... oh well. i told them it would most probably work.... and the PC guy just kept talking about XP.... lol.....
My friend is sold on the iPod though and will probably be getting the miniPod if and when it comes out.
