Since I'm in a good mood, I'll post the actual picture you were trying to link to.

Unlike themaxx.com, I have plenty of bandwidth and I'm willing to share.

Photoshop.
You registered to post a fake? Awesome man, keep up the good work....
not a bad design though...
Not even a good one either. Look at how big and awkward that screen is.

WHAT??! You mean.. it's not real? This guy outside PC WORLD showed me that picture, said he was a rep from Apple and so I gave him a deposit of 150 and he said I'd have it in 2 weeks...

Sorry man, you bought a look-alike "Gameboy SP Advance" instead...

fake... and even if it was not, the design leaves much to be desired
I quite like it...

agreed. i like the little scroll strip down the side.
Not a bad button layout idea, but I'm thinking it would be nigh impossible to hold on to without either pressing something unintentionally, or obscuring the screen.

I'm thinking also that there would have to be a little more peripheral space for headphone jack and docking connector, at either the top or bottom.

Good Photoshop work, though.

Heh, watch me eat my words when this turns out to be real next week... Off to AI...

Funky design, I don't mind it, If it was real I would buy it

- Zoom ZOom
how about price drops on larger modals?
Nice design, but looks rather fake.
compare the screen size to the headphones, you wouldnt be able to read the screen, i hope that is fake.

Production shots are given to advertisers and resale magazines days to sometimes a month before its release or just the image size spec in order to set up their pages. They are asked to sign confidentiality agreements not to release photo's but it does happen.
I thought it was real. Then I realized it doesn't have stripes.

since all the product shots on Apple's web site are Photoshop / rendered on the computer, this doesn't much matter.

It isn't a photo, sure, but it could be someone slipped him the product shot from the apple web page-- IF this were a bizarro-sliced-upside-down-on-Tuesdays-anti-matter universe.
Good idea with the scroll pad, but the screen resolution gives it away - it is too small for a start, and there is no chance of a miniPod getting a higher res screen than the full-size one.
I like it. But I'd reduce the screen's height in half and make the scroll a bit longer by wrapping it around the top edge. I only use my ipod for listening to music, so I don't need a large screen.

It looks like the earbuds are supposed to be well in front of the unit, making them appear larger than they are/would be.

I think it's a pretty spiffy design. And for those who reflexively say "Apple would never design something like that," let me just remind you: MDD PowerMac.
The buttons are much to close to one another and it would be hard to press one without touching the other.

How big are your fingers?
