Called a salesperson at the Blockbuster I bought it from and he asked if I had a receipt. Don't know where it is, told him I could show him my Visa statement when it comes in, can't he find it on his computer/register, yada yada... I asked why they couldn't take it and give me another since they would just send it in and get another anyway. Well, he basically began to call me a liar and that he would have no way of knowing if I got it from his store, Best Buy, etc. He went on to say that I should go on the internet and file a complaint with the manufacturer. (Disney no less!) Since I was in ear shot of my kids, I had to watch my language. We got a little heated and he told me that the phone call was being recorded and that his managers were listening in. After talking to an assistant manager and the main store manager today, this obviously was a lie. Anyway, ended up calling a different Blockbuster, they told me to come right on in and they would be glad to take care of me. Learned that anytime you buy a video from Blockbuster you should buy it on your account (if you have one at that store) so that they can easily find your purchase in their computer. Otherwise, you need a receipt. The movie was better than I thought although a little long. No bad language so it was good for the kids as well. |
Ummm... so the lesson should be, "save your receipt" right?
Thought so
