Buying Torx Screwdriver Set

I'm buying a Torx screwdriver set for my work repairing Macs. What range of sizes should I get to make sure I can fix the maximum number of different types of Macs?

PowerBooks (especially older ones) use all sorts of tiny Torx and Philips screws.

Sears sells a set of precision screwdrivers that has all the ones you're likely to encounter on a PowerBook or iBook. (For the aluminum models, you also need some hex drivers.)

Get Craftsman part number 745736. It's a mini screwdriver set and it's great. And, Craftsman has a no-questions-asked unconditional replacement policy on all their hand tools.

I got a Torx set at Home Depot that had the sizes necessary to dismantle my PowerBook G4.

yeah, Sears used to have the best warranty/location, but the home improvement stores have the same warranty now, and just as many, if not more locations.
Sears will have more specialty tools than your local Lowe's, but they all have torx

The new PowerBooks use a Phillips size 0.

I think you need a small hex wrench to get the display off, too.

Don't forget the infinitely small Hex 'Allen key' for the keyboard, 0.05 inches or 1.27mm. that doesn't come in any set, and will have to be ordered special.

Not true. The Craftsman 13-piece SAE or 26-piece ball-end hex key sets have 0.050" wrenches in them.

If you are talking about that useless proceedure for popping a 15" PB's keyboard don't bother with that tool, you can lift the top of the keyboard (new the screen) and with your nylon tool pop that really well positioned clip. That small Allan key was a waste of time.

It's the one you need to take apart the Previous genaration of USB Keybords (the ones that came with the G4's and Quicksilvers), taking tham apart is usefull as they always end up full of crud, That looks nasty in the clear part.
