is it me or is it much more spammy than normal? I see about 4 locked topics, and a few soon-to-be-locked topics. Whats up spammars, tell me your woes.

Locked threads will remain on display, to serve as an example to other threads that may consider misbehaving. There have been a lot more people derailing threads, acting like asses, and political mud flinging. Not all that shocking that its resulted in a rise of locks.

While I understand that threads about MacNN members generally get locked, it seems rather weird that some of these get locked down within minutes, some remain open for days, and some are open to this very day:

What's up with this inconsistent treatment ?

In general, it doesn't seem to me that locked threads are treated consistently, but rather based on the goodwill (or not) of the mod's. It comes close to censorship in some cases...
