No way. I gave my 40GB iPod and kept my 2nd gen 20GB just for the buttons. No tactile, feedback and too sensitive touch means you always have to keep it on hold (the hold switch is more difficult to use as well) meaning no in-pocket manipulation. I hated the new button layout since the day I saw the concept sketch.

A HUGE step back in usability. Glad they came to their senses.
